EOBs
Today we received the full summary from the insurance company of all of Molly's care for her osteomyelitis (staph infection of her hip), from the first trip to Dr. Smith when we were sent to the ER to the last blood culture after they took out her PICC line. There are times I get very upset about our $2000 per person deductible. And then a statement comes in like the one I saw today and then I feel very blessed that I actually have some sort of health insurance. I don't think we could have swung $75,646.69. And, I also praise God for his promise to care for us. You see, just a few short months before Molly got sick, we almost dropped our policy with Dave's boss because we can barely swing the premiums and the deductibles to go with a personal policy that would have capped our hospital coverage at $50,000. According the salesman, 98% of hospital stays do not exceed $30,000. So, as long as you aren't in that 2%, it's a good policy. Thankfully, God provided us with an honest salesman who counseled us to stick with our current policy if we could at all afford it. We followed that advice and it saved us $25,000. Thank you, Lord! You are sovereign and you are praiseworthy! And, thank you even more that our little girl is happily running around and dancing her heart out!
